1. About these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the CanDash Android application, package ID io.candash.app (“CanDash” or the “App”), provided by Ivan Boldyrev (“we,” “us,” or “our”). CanDash provides a supplementary instrument cluster for Tesla vehicles.

By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, or use the App with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

2. Driving safety

You are responsible for operating your vehicle safely and complying with traffic laws and local rules on mobile devices and in-vehicle displays.

• Set up and interact with the App only while the vehicle is safely parked.
• Mount your device securely, without obstructing your view, vehicle controls, or airbags.
• Do not rely on the App for safety-critical decisions. Displayed information may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate.
• If the App conflicts with your vehicle’s original instruments or warnings, follow the vehicle’s instruments and manufacturer guidance.

The App is not a vehicle control system, a driver-assistance system, or a substitute for attentive driving.

3. License & permitted use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App for your personal, lawful purposes on Android devices you own or control.

You must not misuse the App, interfere with its operation, bypass security measures, use it to access vehicles or data without authorization, or redistribute or sell the App without permission. You must not reverse engineer or modify the App except where applicable law or a relevant open-source license permits it.

4. Compatibility & availability

Operation may depend on your Android device, vehicle model and software, connectivity, and any compatible hardware required for your setup. You are responsible for ensuring your equipment is compatible and installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Vehicle updates, Android updates, or changes to third-party products may affect functionality. We do not guarantee compatibility with every configuration or uninterrupted availability. We may update, change, or discontinue features, subject to applicable law and any obligations owed to you.

5. Third-party services

Google Play, vehicle software, and any third-party hardware or services are provided by their respective operators and may be subject to separate terms. We do not control or guarantee those products or services.

CanDash is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. Tesla and its product names are trademarks of their respective owner. Google Play and Android are trademarks of Google LLC.

6. Privacy

For information about personal data handling, please read our Privacy Policy. These Terms do not replace that policy. If you have a privacy question, contact us using the details below.

7. Intellectual property

The App and its original content, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a right to use the App, not ownership of it. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.

8. Disclaimers & liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, reliability, uninterrupted operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. You should independently verify information before relying on it.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from use of, or inability to use, the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer rights, including any statutory guarantees and remedies, remain unaffected.

9. Ending your use

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, subject to any notice or opportunity to remedy required by law. On termination, you must stop using the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the App or legal requirements. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. For material changes, we will provide appropriate notice and seek consent where required by law. Changes do not apply retroactively. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you should stop using the App.

11. Your legal rights

Nothing in these Terms takes away protections or rights available under the mandatory laws of your country of residence, including rights concerning the law and courts that apply to a dispute. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

If you have a concern or dispute about the App, you can contact us to seek a resolution. This does not prevent you from exercising your legal remedies.
